Chef William Moves…

November 2010

In support of the First Lady’s Let’s Move Campaign, Chef William partnered with local elementary school Hall Fletcher Elementary and kindergarten teacher Meg Sanford , (through the US Department of Agriculture’s program, Chefs Move) to educate her students about food, nutrition and healthy choices. Students learned the importance of healthy eating by making english muffin pizza with fresh mozzarella and farm-fresh vegetables by watching Chef William demonstrate how to prepare healthy food.

Chef William is Outstanding In the Field

October 2010

Chef William Dissen was the chosen Chef for WNC’s Outstanding in the Field Dinner. Chef Dissen chose East Fork Farm last summer for the location for this dinner, and it was a tremendous success. Over 180 people attended the dinner, where the white-table cloth tables were lined up in the farm field. That is chef Jim Denevan’s vision for Outstanding in the Field, the coast-to-coast farm dinner tour he founded in 1998.
